Pregnant Morena Baccarin Won't Leave Emmys If She Goes Into Labor

Morena Baccarin was not alone during her visit to "Jimmy Kimmel Live." She was very pregnant, which could make things awkward come the Emmys this Sunday. According to Baccarin, there's a good chance she might go into labor at the awards show. Perhaps the excitement of winning her first-ever Emmy for her work on "Homeland" might be enough to kickstart her labor.

“My doctor’s my plus one, so it’s all good," Baccarin joked. But she did go on to say that he'll be waiting in the limousine, just in case. “I told myself that I was going to go, and if I went into labor at the Emmys, I was going to sit through it," she said. "I mean, no baby comes in four-and-a-half hours anyway, or maybe it’s like 12 hours. I don’t know how long the Emmys are.”

“It’s more like 12," Kimmel said.

“I’m going to wait it out," Baccarin insisted. "I’m going to cross my legs, hold it tight and just, you know.”

She even said that she'd be up for doing interviews on the way to the hospital afterward, but don't look for her baby to be named "Emmy," even if she does win. She's having a boy.

Baccarin was pregnant while filming the third season of "Homeland," but promised that her character, Jessica Brody, is not pregnant. Instead, they did the best they could to hide her baby bump throughout the season. Fans can start looking for it when "Homeland" premieres next Sunday, September 29, on Showtime.

Tune in for new episodes of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
