Last month it was announced that Ben Affleck will play Batman in the upcoming Superman movie "Man of Steel." Fans and critics were quick to criticize the casting, going so far as to start a petition on Change.org asking that the role be recast.
The petition took issue with Affleck's acting ability and his physical appearance, saying, "His acting skill is not even close to being believable as Bruce Wayne and he won't do the role justice. He's not built, nor is he intimidating enough for the role of Batman. His portrayal of Daredevil was atrocious and he's not remotely close to an action star. Please find someone else."
The petition, which currently has 94,043 signatures, is hardly the first of its kind. Fans have taken to using Change.org for a variety of far-fetched petitions including asking other roles to be recast and asking certain artists to stop making music.
