Cops Searching For Suspect In Long Island Shooting

Police in Long Island are frantically searching for a gunman who shot two people, one fatally, near Roosevelt Field mall on Wednesday.

Newsday reports the suspect walked into a commercial building on South Street, believed to be Safe Energy, shortly after 10 a.m. this morning and shot the two victims before fleeing.

The mall and local schools in Garden City have been placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure.

The suspect is being described as an Asian man in his sixties. Police say he may have escaped in a white honda.

Patch reports the shooter has been identified as Sang Ho Kim. The license plate of the Honda is FMA-3648.
