'NCIS: Los Angeles' Premiere: Team Takes Down Major Villain

While things may have looked bleak at the close of Season 4, "NCIS: Los Angeles" debuted its fifth season with the team earning triumph over Sidorov's torture. In fact, they even managed to take him down. Then, after a four-month time jump, the episode ended with another villain being put behind bars.

Callen apparently hopped a plane for the occasion of seeing Janvier put behind bars. "I just had to see this with my own eyes.”

But Janvier wasn't rattled. In fact, he seemed strangely confident. "Did you ever read ‘The Count of Monte Cristo?’” he asked Callen. "It’s the story of a man who spent 21 years in prison only to escape and exact his revenge ... The game is not over."

Writing for Examiner, Meredith Jacobs agreed with Javier. As long as he's alive, she noted, the game will not be over. TV Fanatic's Carla Day was left wondering if this means he's going to break out of prison -- if anyone can, Marcel Janvier can. Or will the game continue with Janvier as the mastermind behind bars?

Season 5 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" continues every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
