'The Invisible Woman' Trailer Finds Ralph Fiennes Taking On Story Of Charles Dickens' Mistress

Ralph Fiennes Takes On Charles Dickens In New Biopic

Those enamored by 19th-century literary entanglements will go ga-ga for "The Invisible Woman." The movie shines a light on some forgotten Charles Dickens lore, namely his 13-year relationship with mistress Nelly Ternan. Directed by Ralph Fiennes and written by Abi Morgan ("The Iron Lady") based on Claire Tomalin's 1990 biography of the same name, the biopic finds Dickens channeling the romance as inspiration in his writing.

Fiennes stars as Dickens, with Felicity Jones playing Nelly. "Woman," which opens Dec. 25 in New York and Los Angeles, also stars Kristen Scott Thomas and Tom Hollander.

Watch Fiennes and Jones discuss the movie at the Toronto International Film Festival.
