Former USC Star On Lane Kiffin Firing: 'It's About Time'

Former USC cornerback Terrell Thomas claims to still "love" Lane Kiffin but he's also glad that the Trojans are looking for a new coach. Thomas starred under head coach Pete Carroll at USC before being selected in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.

"It's about time," Thomas told HuffPost Live host Caroline Modarressy Tehrani on Tuesday when asked about Kiffin's ouster. "I love Kif. He's a good coach. He was there when I was with them. But obviously the players weren't playing for him. I think that stood out last year when the year before we went 11-1 and then the same team came back we went 7-6. You look at some of the games, I believe it wasn't the players' fault. It was the coaching."
