Angler Hooks 134-Pound Carp In Thailand, May Crush World Record

HOLY CARP!

Holy carp!

A British tourist may have just reeled in a world record. While vacationing in Thailand for his birthday, Keith Williams hooked a 134-pound carp, believed to be the biggest ever caught.

"He told his wife that he could feel in his bones that he was going to catch a special fish that day," Stuart Gillham, owner of the fishing resort in Krabi where Williams was staying, told British newspaper Metro.

The monster fish, which weighs 134 pounds and 7 ounces, reportedly took 25 minutes to reel in.

According to The London Times, the previous record was held by Terry Mather, who caught a 114-pound Siamese carp. The International Game Fish Association will need to confirm the new world record for largest carp.

Not bad for a 56th birthday present.
