Kim Kardashian Gives Birth On 'Keeping Up'

It was delivery day on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians!" While it came five weeks early due to Kim being diagnosed with pre-eclampsia -- her blood pressure was high and her liver could shut down if she didn't give birth -- it was still a joyous day as baby North West came into the world.

And yet, the delivery itself wasn't show on the show, and we may never see baby North on television, either. According to Kim, Kanye wasn't comfortable with selling photos or having their daughter on the show. "I signed on to do this, but it doesn’t mean that Kanye and my child have signed on to do it, so I’m keeping them more private," Kim said. "I’m still an open book.” It was a decision Hollywood Life's Chloe Melas said she could respect.

Zap2It's Sydney Bucksbaum was disappointed, though. "For a family that has built its brand on showing all aspects of their life on camera, the actual birth was surprisingly not filmed at all," she wrote. "Kanye West and North were never seen on camera.” Still, The Stir's Rebecca Stokes appreciated Kim's honesty in that moment. "It was nice of her to explain to her viewers that she hasn't changed who she is -- she's just making space for Kanye and for North who haven't chosen the same sort of life she has," she wrote.

"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" continues -- without Kanye and North on-screen, apparently -- every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on E!
