Meredith Vieira's upcoming one-hour talk show has been cleared by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution in more than 60% of the U.S.

Deadline reported Monday that several stations including LIN Media, Hearst Television and Sinclair Broadcast Group have accepted deals with NBC to take on the show. "The Meredith Vieira Show," which will debut in September 2014, will be a multi-segmented show covering a variety of topics including lifestyle and celebrity.

Vieira announced her show in July. The former host of "Today" and "The View" resigned from her most recent gig at "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" in January, saying at the time that she was leaving to work on a new project.

The announcement of her show immediately prompted comparisons between Vieira and Katie Couric, who is currently in the second season of her daytime show. "Katie" had sold in over 90 percent of U.S. homes nine months prior to its debut. There have been reports, however, that the future of Couric's show is uncertain.
