As we learned more about his past via flashback, "Once Upon a Time" proved Captain Hook wasn't and isn't always the scoundrel we assume him to be. This week, he lured Charming to a magical spring to heal him. He even warned Charming that drinking the spring water would mean he could never leave Neverland, leaving the ultimate decision to Charming.
Perhaps this act of unexpected kindness is why 'shippers got their first glimpse at a Hook-Emma relationship when the two locked lips in a kiss so passionate Hook seemed genuinely taken aback for a moment. She called the kiss "a one-time thing," but does anyone really believe that?
Hollywood Life's Andy Swift didn't buy it for a second. "It was probably the most intense kiss we’ve seen on the show so far, which is saying a lot since 'Once' is literally based on ‘true love’s kiss,'" he wrote. But according to Colin O'Donoghue aka Hook himself, it could be a while before things progress. He told Zap2It, "At the moment, everybody's so focused on trying to save Henry and to find the best way to do that," he said.
