Katy Perry has done it again. Her newest album, "Prism," has officially topped the Billboard 200. In addition to stealing the top spot, Perry also earned the title of the female pop star with the highest first-week sales this year. Her "Prism" sold 286,000 copies, edging out Miley Cyrus' 270,000 for "Bangerz."

Perry is no stranger to reigning supreme. Her last album, "Teenage Dream," sold 192,000 copies in its first week and also debuted at the No. 1 spot. The "I Kissed A Girl" singer has also had eight Billboard No. 1 singles, including "Roar," a cut off of her newest album.

The "Roar"-led project beat out Pearl Jam's latest offering, "Lightning Bolt," which fell to No. 2, as well as Drake's "Nothing Was the Same" which took the No. 3 spot.

The singer was down under earlier this week performing her new songs and promoting "Prism." She recently spoke about the album, calling it, "organic, au naturale, vulnerable and honest."
