Creepy David Bowie Video Cost Just $12.99

Just in time for Halloween, David Bowie is getting frightful with some old puppets and ghost-like face paint in his new video for "Love Is Lost." (If only it were more reminiscent of "Labyrinth.")

Fun facts about the "Love Is Lost" video, which actually uses a remix of the song produced by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem fame: Bowie wrote, shot and edited the clip in his Manhattan office for a total of $12.99 (the cost of a flash drive).

Murphy's "Love is Lost" remix will appear on "The Next Day Extra," a three-disc extended edition of the album Bowie released in March. The singer debuted the video at Wednesday's Mercury Prize ceremony in lieu of actually attending the event, where "The Next Day" was on the shortlist for Album of the Year. The expanded version of the album will be out Nov. 5. In the meantime, ring in Halloween with Bowie's spooks.

Bowie also unveiled four new songs that will appear on "The Next Day Extra," which includes a 10-track bonus album and a DVD of Bowie's recent videos. Listen to the new tracks below.
