'Please sir, may I have some more?'

Considering how much we love food here at HuffPost Taste, it's no surprise that some of our favorite novels have key scenes revolving around mealtime. And since we've already shared our favorite foods from children's books, we thought it was about time we shared the best foods from classic literature.

Not only have we put together iconic foods from 10 of the best novels, but we've also given you a recipe for each. It's a completely new way to enjoy literature -- it's the closest thing to actually sharing a meal with some of your favorite characters.
