Cobie Smulders Is In Denial About 'How I Met Your Mother' Ending This Season (VIDEO)

Cobie Smulders In Denial About End Of 'HIMYM'

Cobie Smulders admitted to David Letterman that she's pretty much in denial about "How I Met Your Mother" coming to an end. The actress appeared on "Late Show" and said that after nine years, it's going to be hard to let go of "the best job in the world."

"I can’t believe I’ve been I’ve been employed as an actress for nine years straight!" she marveled. "I just love everybody so much. I think it’s gonna be the hardest to say goodbye to the crew, and not be able to see everybody in the morning at craft service."

Letterman tried to lift her spirits by introducing her to something he's apparently just learned about. He suggested they take a couple of selfies together during the interview.

Smulder's got some time before she has to start those goodbyes, too. "HIMYM" isn't even halfway through its final season. And she's keeping busy outside the show. Her latest movie, "Delivery Man" with Vince Vaughn, hits theaters November 22. Plus, her recurring role as Maria Hill in the Marvel Cinematic Universe means she could pop up on any number of Marvel projects.

Catch Cobie Smulders on the final season of "How I Met Your Mother," Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS. "Late Show with David Letterman" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.
