What are the causes of premature aging? According to Dr. Oz , Daytime Emmy Award winning host of "The Dr. Oz Show," the number one cause is stress. Stress comes in two different forms. Emotional stress occurs when you're unable to keep up with what's going on in your life, which makes you feel like you are not in control of your destiny. Physical stress can be caused by anything from the toxins found in food, to self-medicating with unhealthy food, to taking unnecessary medicine, or even living in a house that contains a high amount of mold.
Dr. Oz says that the most important thing we need to do in order to cope with stress is to gain hope, and make sense of what has happened in our lives that is causing this stress. When things are out of your control, find a path to a deeper message. It's okay to be depressed. When people are depressed, they sometimes do their best work. Embrace it and get past it. Figure out what the bigger opportunity is.
