Your Weekly Travel Zen: The American South

nc

This week's Moment of Travel Zen comes to us from Anna Marie Jehorek. Of her photo she says:

Taken on a recent hike, this photo of fall foliage along the American Tobacco Trail displays the spectacular beauty of the region this time of year. Located in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, the converted railroad which once moved tobacco across the state is now a source of beauty and recreation for cyclists, walkers, runners, nature lovers as well as equestrians.

The American South is famous for its quaint towns, beautiful mountains and rich history and culture. The slower pace of life in the South is awesomely zen. A trip to a Southern town makes a wonderful escape.
