From a world-famous DJ (who's only 16-years-old!) to a teen who challenged a giant corporation in the name of gender equality, the young speakers lined up for TED Youth this year are a truly inspiring group.
And guess what? You can watch the whole event right here, live, on Saturday, November 16 starting at 11am CST / 12pm EST. The event theme for 2013 is "The Spark," and will feature stories and life lessons from scientists, designers, technologists, explorers, artists, performers and other interesting voices.
At TED Teen -- another awesome event for young people -- in March, Chelsea Clinton spoke about what makes Generation Y so special.
“I think [there] is a big misconception that people who are younger are more apathetic or more disinterested or more tuned out. That’s just not true," she told The Huffington Post. "People are more connected, feel more empowered and feel a greater responsibility for their world than ever before."
We couldn't agree more.
