AWW: Loyal Pit Bull Puppy Acts As Seeing Eye Dog For His Blind Brother

This is what love and devotion looks like.

Eight-month-old lab-pit bull mix puppies, Jeffrey and Jermaine, were found on the street in Philadelphia on October 5, NBC Philadelphia reported. They were brought to a no-kill animal shelter called Operation Ava. The bond between the pair instantly struck the shelter as unique.

That's because Jeffrey is blind, and Jermaine acts as his seeing eye dog, according to Chester County SPCA's Facebook page.

"They're always pretty much touching each other," Ray Little, Director of Life Saving at Operation Ava, told NBC. "Jeffrey really does try to maintain contact with Jermaine, especially when he's in an unfamiliar environment. As soon as he gets familiar with a new place, then he becomes a little bit more independent. But it's amazing how they try to maintain contact with each other."

Operation Ava is trying to find an adoptive family for both brothers -- the shelter wants to keep the pair together, according to its website.
