A few weeks ago, the owners of 2450 Solar Drive--the long-troubled, never-occupied pink elephant house of Runyon Canyon--put up gates along the very popular trail that runs by the house, and today they closed and locked those gates. Fort Ashford Funds has big plans for the house and its surrounding 22 acres: it and much of the surrounding land is on the market, asking $9.888 million, and meanwhile they hope to subdivide the whole thing into four parcels, with immediate plans for one more megamansion.
