UNITED STATES - SEPTEMBER 18: THE ADDAMS FAMILY - Pilot - Season One - 9/18/64, 'The Addams Family' was based on the characters in Charles Addams' 'New Yorker' cartoons. The wealthy Gomez Addams (John Astin, left) was madly in love with his wife, Morticia (Carolyn Jones, seated), and their two children, Wednesday (Lisa Loring) and Pugsley (Ken Weatherwax). The family, including Uncle Fester (Jackie Coogan), their towering butler Lurch (Ted Cassidy), Grandmama (Blossom Rock), and Thing, a hand that usually appeared out of a small wooden box, resided in an ornate, gloomy mansion., (Photo by ABC Photo Archives/ABC via Getty Images)

Check out these cool photos from the original "Addams Family" TV series that ran on ABC from 1964 to 1966. The series was filmed in black and white, which fit the Addams' dark nature, but the set was actually decorated in bright colors, as proven by these pictures shot by Richard Fish:

Pink? Mint green? Somehow we don't think Morticia was behind these color choices. Maybe Lurch helped with the decorations?

A nail bed?! Now that's the Addams Family we know and love!
