ABC News Begins Barbara Walters Tribute

ABC News has begun preparation for Barbara Walters' retirement in 2014 with the first of several specials it will air in honor of the famed journalist's more than 50-year-long career.

ABC News announced on Friday that Walters would sit down with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in an exclusive interview next Friday. The episode is part of the network's year-long tribute to Walters and will feature memorable clips from her past interviews with each presidential couple since the Nixons.

The interview is set to air during an ABC News' "20/20" Thanksgiving special on November 29th at 10 p.m.

The special marks the first time in 2013 that the Obamas will participate in an interview side-by-side, although it will be the fifth time Walters has interviewed the couple together.
