'Godzilla' Trailer Finds The Gigantic Lizard Terrorizing Once Again

'Godzilla' Unleashes Terror In New Trailer

It doesn't get more menacing than the new "Godzilla" trailer. Cue the ominous music, emergency paratroopers, panicked city dwellers and ever-increasing blight. If that sounds like a frame-for-frame remake of Roland Emmerich's 1998's "Godzilla," calm your fears. This one is still full of "Day After Tomorrow"-style dereliction, but what do you expect when a 160-foot-tall lizard is terrorizing a city?

Legendary and Warner Bros. Pictures say the movie "pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence." "Godzilla" stars Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and from the looks of the trailer, we can ignore the impending meltdown and get right to the full-on terror-fest of GODZILLA RAVAGING YOUR LIFE. We don't get much of the beast himself, but we do get a lot of mass alarm and terrible weather. Fun, right? The movie opens May 16, 2014.
