Kelly Clarkson is about to shake things up on "Nashville."

The "American Idol" winner will sing Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You" on the ABC show's 11th episode, set to air on Jan. 2014, Radio.com reported. She'll play herself on the Connie Britton-fronted show, and will record the '90s hit with Gunnar (Sam Palladio) and Scarlett (Clare Bowen).

Clarkson's no stranger to the song, and she once performed it at a concert in Charlotte.

Palladio and Bowen first performed the song in Season 1, and since their romantic relationship grew rocky, the duo's joint musical career has been on hiatus. But, if this casting tells us anything, it's that Gunnar and Scarlett will get back together -- at least in the studio.
