Adele's '21' Is Amazon's Best-Selling Album Of All Time


Adele's "21" was a global phenomenon upon its release in 2011, and now it's Amazon's highest-selling album of all time.

Featuring hits like "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You," the Grammy-winning "21" has sold more than 28 million copies worldwide -- an unprecedented figure in today's music landscape. The album was the most popular of both 2011 and 2012, according to Nielsen SoundScan tallies.

Adele's debut album, 2008's "19," also appears on Amazon's list, at No. 8. The 25-year-old singer is the only with two releases in the Top 10.

Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" is the top-selling MP3, while Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and two fun. songs also round out the Top 10.

Amazon has also revealed that Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" is 2013's best-selling CD, while Tegan & Sara's "Heartthrob" is the top MP3 album. The year's most popular individual tracks were Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and Katy Perry's "Roar."
