George Zimmerman Gets Guns Back From Sheriff's Office

Zimmerman Gets Guns Back

George Zimmerman, reclaimed five weapons on Wednesday that police confiscated from him last month when his girlfriend accused him of domestic abuse, TMZ reported.

The 30-year-old Floridian made a second trip to the Seminole County Sheriff's office on Thursday with his lady friend, Samantha Scheibe. They were back to get two of Scheibe's firearms that were seized during their dispute.

The personal arsenal belonging to Zimmerman was comprised of .38 caliber handgun, a 9-mm handgun, a Glock 19 handgun, a KelTec shotgun and an AR-15 assault rifle, the Daily News reported.

Some ammunition, chewing gum, a flashlight, a combination lock, two cellphones and a pocket knife were among the other belongings that police rounded up in Scheibe's Sanford home and returned to Zimmerman, TMZ said.

Scheibe, 27, called 911 on Nov. 18 , claiming that her boyfriend -- the man acquitted of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin-- had pointed a shotgun at her, CNN reported. During the alleged argument, Zimmerman also smashed furniture in her home, Scheibe said during the emergency call.

On the same day, Zimmerman's estranged wife filed for divorce.

Scheibe later requested that the charges she brought against Zimmerman get dropped. In an affidavit, she said police had misunderstood what she told them about the conflict.

Prosecutors tossed out the case, enabling Zimmerman to carry weapons again.
