Andre Iguodala's Buzzer Beater Lifts Warriors Over Hawks (VIDEO)

Iggy Saves Warriors At The Buzzer!

The Warriors have arguably the best 3-point shooting duo in the league with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, but it was Andre Iguodala who came through from long range on Friday night. With Golden State trailing 100-98 to Atlanta, the offseason acquisition buried a 3-pointer as time expired to give his team its eighth straight win.

Iguodala inbounded the ball near the opposing bench with 3.2 seconds left in regulation. He found Curry near midcourt but the sharpshooter was immediately double-teamed as Iguodala drifted away from them near the left wing. With nowhere to go, Curry got the ball back to Iguodala and the nine-year veteran sunk the game-winner.

"Every part of that play worked because everybody ran like they were going to get the ball," Iguodala said after the game, per the Associated Press. "The defense had to stay honest and pick their poison."

The Warriors were down by 15 with 6:33 left in the fourth quarter before going on a 20-4 run to take a one-point lead. Both teams traded baskets, but it was Iguodala who made the last one.

While Curry and Thompson -- or "the greatest shooting backcourt in the history of the game" as Warriors coach Mark Jackson said last April -- have made more 3-pointers than some teams so far this season, Iguodala has had a knack for hitting clutch shots. The shot against Atlanta was his fifth buzzer-beater since his rookie season in 2005-06 and only Joe Johnson has more in that span with six, per ESPN Stats and Info.

Johnson hit his sixth on Wednesday.
