A small plane landed on an expressway in the Bronx Saturday afternoon.
According to the New York Daily News, the fire department confirmed that an aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing on the Major Deegan Expressway around 3:20 p.m. The four-seat plane, registered to a man in South Salem, was bound for LaGuardia Airport.
Twitter user Daniel Miller captured a photo of the plane that landed on the expressway.

Other passing motorists also captured photos from the scene.
Three people were reportedly on board when the plane landed on the northbound side of the expressway near East 233rd Street. New York City Fire Department officials said there were three injuries, NBC New York reports.
Authorities have shut down the expressway in both directions for now. It's not immediately clear why the plane was forced to land.
