"2 Broke Girls" star Beth Behrs got to show off her vocal chops during a bit on the 40th "People's Choice Awards." Her co-star, and co-host, Kat Dennings pretended to read off a series of Tweets asking Behrs to sing everything from "The Sound of Music" to Miley Cyrus. While the bit went on a bit too long, it was worth it for the payoff.
"Someone asks, will you rap ‘Baby Got Back’ and please do it while twerking uncontrollably," Dennings said. Despite "discovering" that Dennings was making all of these requests up, Behrs did it anyway. "If you want ‘Baby Got Back,’ you got ‘Baby Got Back,'" Behrs said. "It was my prom theme.”
And then she went into it, nailing (most) of the lyrics while twerking aggressively. It could have been an absolute trainwreck, but Behrs was so committed to her performance that People's Sheila Cosgrove Baylis declared it one of the "Top Five Moments" of the broadcast. E! Online's Bruna Nessif heaped even more praise on Behrs, writing that it was the best musical number of the night -- above even musical performers Brad Paisley, One Republic and Sara Bareilles.
