Shia LaBeouf Responds To Jim Carrey's Golden Globes Diss

Recently retired famous person Shia LaBeouf may be shirking all aspects of "public life," but he apparently tuned into Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards, and -- shocker -- he didn't take one joke very well.

The 27-year-old took to Twitter following the ceremony to respond to Jim Carrey's quip that made light of LaBeouf's recent plagiarism brouhaha: "Dying is easy. Comedy is hard ... I believe it was Shia LaBeouf who said that," Carrey said before presenting the award for Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical.

"If you explain @JimCarrey you've killed him, Nobody knows if it's for real or not. That way he's immortal," LaBeouf tweeted before moving on to an attack on Carrey's parenting skills.

The former Disney star posted a YouTube video of Carrey's daughter's band, "The Jane Carrey Band," and then tweeted, "At least I don't get arrested for indecency on major LA highways! Or abandon love child's [sic]."

Within hours, LaBeouf deleted his previous tweet and was singing a different tune when it came to Carrey's parenting abilities:

Jim Carrey states that he is deeply involved in his daughter's life – I accept that, regret tweet on the matter. Apologies to both parents.

And the "Transformers" star finished his bizarre Twitter response by taking the time to remind us all that he's a now a private citizen.
