Believe it or not, Mother Nature knows exactly what she's doing. So if you've struggled with DIY hair dye and ended up with brassy locks or if you can't stop obsessively plucking your stray grays, we're begging you -- please stop.

People, old and young, are embracing their silver streaks and showing off the badge of aging proudly. The New York Times writer Leah Rozen recently announced "blondes may have more fun, but we gray gals have it made in our shade." Even Kate Middleton who has the most envied hair of any celebrity has put her gray roots on display.

Plenty of other celebrities have become synonymous with their graying tresses. Gray is no longer old or aged. It's debonair, dignified, and downright sexy. We've put together a list of some of the hottest celebs who are embracing the course of nature and aging gracefully. A Sterling fox, a man of Steele, and some other white hot celebs all made the list so you can see for yourself how graceful gray can be.

"I think the process of getting older is just to let it happen," the actor told CNN. "While you're focused on trying to make something happen, you're missing out on so many other things around you. So I think in my own case the process of maturing is to just be more open -- to feel the whole thing." It looks like that's the philosophy that's helped Gere embrace his dignified grays.

The silver songstress started going gray in her 20s and embraced the natural color after a bad dye experience. "It's the best thing I ever did," Harris told People. "I’m proud it’s completely gray...If it encourages other women to say, ‘I can do that, too,’ that’s great, and they should wear it proudly. We earned those gray hairs!" she said.

The ultimate silver fox who fittingly plays Roger "Sterling" on the hit show "Mad Men" started graying when he was in his 20s. "I look like a vampire a lot of the time if I dye my hair," Slattery joked in an interview with The Daily Beast. Sounds like he won't be saying goodbye to his perfectly coiffed locks anytime soon...and we couldn't be happier.

While the Bond actress says she hates aging and the world old, she seems to be embracing it gracefully in her own way. She's had the same pixie-cut for decades now, but has embraced her gray locks. We don't know many people who could pull it off quite as well.

The salt-and-pepper haired actor says it can be unsettling watching himself grow older on screen but he's gotten comfortable with aging. "I love my gray hair; I love the fact that my face has more of an edge and more character than it did when I was in my 20s and 30s," Clooney told Star Magazine.

Baldwin, who dyed his hair for his role on "30 Rock," is embracing his grays now that the show has ended. But growing out his roots has been a somewhat embarrassing experience for the actor, who likened the new hair color to "rings of saturn." You've got to applaud his bravery.

Famed hairstylist Frederic Fekkai once named Keaton among the few women in Hollywood who have proved "gray hair and a few wrinkles are normal signs of well-lived life." Keaton herself has said the best part of aging is that she treasures every moment a little bit more.

Though he's now sporting a dash of gray, Brosnan maintains his sex symbol status. He's clearly taking aging in stride and has talked of "loosening ties" with his ego over the years. "There's an ease within my own being now and there's a confidence, simple as that really, ...You have to adapt to your age and your years. It's nothing but humble gratitude of having come down the road so far," Brosnan told Hollywood.com.
