Joshua Jackson is back in business.

The "Dawson's Creek" and "Fringe" star will play Cole, a “hard-edged cowboy who manages a ranch on the eastern tip of Long Island that has been in his family for generations."

Wilson will play Cole's wife Allison, whom she leaves for Noah (Dominic West) ... who happens to be married to Helen (Maura Tierney).

Additionally, the network picked up the dark comedy "Happyish," starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, which centers on a man who, at 42, decides he's unhappy with his life and wants to "rebrand" himself.

And according to our Twitter research, the one and only Louis C.K. will be stopping by the series as well.

No word on premiere dates for "The Affair" or "Happyish" just yet, but both shows received 10-episode orders.
