'The Bag Snaggers' Who Keep New York's Trees Clean, One Plastic Bag At A Time (VIDEO)

WATCH: The 'Bag Snaggers' Of New York City

Spot a plastic bag tangled in the branches of a tree on your block? Just call the "bag snaggers."

This beautiful and charming short video from Aaron Reiss and Jamie Hefetz of Citizen Productions follows the New York City men and women who work to remove the city's plastic bags from trees. It's all part of the New York Restoration Project.

Since 1995, the non-profit, founded by none other than Bette Midler, has been preserving green spaces throughout the five boroughs.

The group responds to individual requests from local residents, including Midler herself.
