"I think research really shows that as people age, they need more protein relative to the number of calories that they consume," said Ellie. She recommends meat, poultry, beans, nuts, seeds and eggs as sources for high quality protein.
Another tip: take advantage of eggs as protein for dinner. They're economical and packed with protein. When it comes to eating the yolk, Ellie assures us that one yolk a day is totally fine, as all of the nutrients in an egg are in the yolk. The egg white is actually mostly just protein.
