Reporters who came to hear Richard Sherman rant or talk trash went away disappointed on Sunday. The Seattle Seahawks' talkative cornerback was actually quite complimentary during a press conference after the team's arrival in New Jersey. Sherman clearly rates Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas ahead of Michael Crabtree of the San Francisco 49ers.
"I definitely think he's in the top five. I think he's put together a heck of a year and done everything in his power to put himself in that conversation," Sherman said. "I think that he's a great receiver and he's a great competitor and I'm sure it's going to be a fun matchup for both of us because we're both intense competitors and good friends."
In his fourth year in the NFL out of Georgia Tech, Thomas finished the 2013 season with the fourth most receiving yards in the league (1,430) and the second most touchdown catches (first among receivers).
