Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton has a wonderful mantra we can all live by: “Don’t sell the mistake!”
“Sometimes the hardest things in life put you where you need to be,” reflected Scott. After dealing with the loss of his parents, getting diagnosed with cancer in 1997 and multiple brain tumors, Scott has learned to find an inner strength and happiness. “Every single loss or setback allowed the next good thing to happen,” he told us.
When Scott is working as a commentator, he tells people all the time, “Don’t sell the mistake!” Since the last thing you want to do is remind others that you’ve made a mistake, Scott recommends getting back out there, smiling and getting people on their feet with positivity.
