Most soccer players use their heads to control the ball, but this one uses it to celebrate.
In a YouTube video recently uploaded by francosamma, an Italian soccer player is seen performing one of the oddest goal celebrations ever caught on film.
After scoring a relatively easy goal thanks to a goalkeeper's mistake, the player, wearing jersey number nine, ran over towards his team's bench. There, in mid-stride, he leaned forward and slammed his head into what appears to be a plexiglass siding. The result was some broken glass and a red card, which landed him a prompt send off.
This isn't the first time we've seen an athlete use his head to celebrate, but we hope it is the last.
