Try Changing Your Car's Tires In Under 3 Seconds

Formula One drivers may be the stars of their sport, but the unsung heroes are definitely the members of the pit crews.

As this video shows, the workers can easily perform a sub-3.0-second pit stops when an F1 car comes into the pit. In fact, at last year’s F1 race at Austin, Texas, the Red Bull-Infiniti pit crew broke the pit stop record, getting Mark Webber’s race car in and out of the pit box in 1.923 seconds.

Of course, things don’t always go according to plan. Just take a look at the video below of a heavy-footed Heikki Kovalainen leaving the pit box with the fuel hose still attached. Fortunately, the sport no longer allows crews to refuel cars during pit stops.
