President Obama is just as addicted to his TV shows as you are. Turns out, Obama asked for advance copies of "True Detective" and "Game Of Thrones" to make Presidents Day weekend a little bit better.
At last week's state dinner, Obama asked Richard Plepler, the Chief Executive Officer of HBO, if he could have screeners of the two shows "to watch over the holiday weekend," the New York Times reported.
There are only three episodes of "True Detective" left, but after seeing that insane six-minute tracking shot and Sunday's Reggie Ledoux revelation, we, too, would politely beg for advance copies if we were the leader of the free world. Never mind that "Game Of Thrones" Season 4 doesn't return until April! (Just tide yourself over with the newest trailer.)
We already knew Obama was a TV nut. On Thursday night, his camp tweeted, "Tomorrow: @HouseOfCards. No spoilers please."
