Joe Biden Joins Seth Meyers In Host's 'Late Night' Debut (VIDEO)

Biden: No Major Announcement On 'Late Night'... Yet

Vice President Joe Biden appeared on the inaugural episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers" early Tuesday morning.

The vice president was joined by Amy Poehler, who once co-anchored the "Weekend Update" newsdesk on "Saturday Night Live" with Meyers. Poehler plays Leslie Knope on NBC's "Parks and Recreation," a budding politician infatuated with Biden. The Vice President made a cameo appearance in an episode that aired in 2012.

When Biden made a push for train transportation during his appearance, Poehler quipped that they could "do 'Snakes on a Train.'"

Biden joked about announcing his future political plans, saying he didn't want to steal the limelight on Meyers' first show.

"I had planned on making a major announcement tonight, but I decided tonight's your night," he said. "I hope you will invite me back."
