Woman Who Was Abandoned In Burger King As A Baby Searches For Birth Mom On Facebook

Only a few hours after she was born, Katheryn Deprill was left on the bathroom floor of a Burger King in Allentown, Pa. After someone heard her cries and alerted the restaurant staff, Deprill was put in foster care and eventually adopted, according to WFMZ.

Now 27 years old, she wants to get to the bottom of the mysterious first day of her life: Who is her biological mother? And why did she abandon her in a fast-food restaurant?

Deprill said that she struggles with her past and has "trust issues," according to the Morning Call. But, she's also grateful for the upbringing she had, and now, as a happily married mother of three, she just wants answers.

And, in 2014, what better way to get them than utilizing social media?

In a photo she posted to her Facebook account on March 2, Deprill wrote the following on a sign and shared with her friends and followers:

Looking for my birth mother. She gave birth to me September 15, 1986. She abandoned me in the Burger King bathroom only hours old, Allentown PA. Please help me find her by sharing my post. Maybe she will see this. Thank you.

The photo has been shared more than 14,000 times, and has even reached Mexico.

"I would like to say thank you to her, that she did not throw me away," Deprill said, according to the Morning Call. She also would like to learn about her family medical history, and if she has any biological siblings.
