MTV has stepped up its game for the network's 2014 movie awards. In addition to hiring Conan O'Brien as host for the April 13 ceremony, this year's MTV Movie Awards nominations include recently minted Oscar winners Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong'o, Jared Leto and "12 Years a Slave." Other 2014 Academy Award nominees under consideration for MTV's highest movie honors: "The Wolf of Wall Street," "American Hustle," Leonardo DiCaprio, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Bradley Cooper, Jonah Hill and Sandra Bullock. Jennifer Lawrence, who was up for Best Supporting Actress for "American Hustle" at this year's Oscars, is nominated too, but for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." Jennifer Aniston, Kanye West, Rihanna and Josh Hutcherson also received nominations, even though they weren't invited to the Oscar party.

"The Wolf of Wall Street" and "American Hustle" tied with eight total nominations. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" finished runner-up with seven. The biggest snub seems to have been "Gravity," which didn't score a Movie of the Year nod, but did collect one notice for Bullock. Check out the full, eclectic list of 2014 MTV Movie Awards nominees. Fans are encouraged to vote on the results here.
