Dem Congressman Guesses 5 Percent Of His Colleagues Are Using Marijuana

Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.) said he thinks of all his colleagues in Congress, around 5 percent currently use marijuana.

"I haven't seen them use it, I'd just be completely guessing," Polis said at a news conference for the National Cannabis Industry Association, according to the Washington Post.

"Remember the demographic. I think the average age is 60," Polis said, noting members of Congress are "actually pretty normal."

"I don't know what percentage of 60-year-olds use marijuana but it's probably similar in Congress," he added.
