Police in Texas searching for a second suspect in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old hearing-impaired girl made an arrest late Thursday night.
Lucas Martin, 20, surrendered to authorities at Dallas police headquarters, according to NBC DFW. Police say that Martin and Jarvis Fisher, 19, approached the alleged victim Tuesday night at a park and asked her if she wanted to have sex.
The girl, who is unable to communicate verbally, was able to text with the men. She told them she didn’t want to have sex, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. She walked with the men to Fisher’s house where both men sexually assaulted her. She lost her phone at the house, the warrant says.
"She told them no," the report says, according to WFAA.
Fisher was a friend of the girl's boyfriend, her mother told the station. It is unclear if Martin met the girl previously.
Martin and Fisher are each charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
