For four years, employees with a Florida maintenance company were secretly watched by an executive while they used the restroom and showered.
Police say James Stanton, a 39-year-old chief financial officer with MaintenX International in Tampa, set up a pinhole camera in his company's bathroom. He allegedly used it to record more than 200 videos of female employees before a whistleblower working in IT discovered the hidden camera and turned it over to police, WTSP reports.
"He's been using a video recording device, and he's been filming various women while they were showering and using the restroom," said Det. Brian Dugan of the Tampa Police Department.
Stanton was arrested Friday and slapped with 123 counts of video voyeurism. Bail was set at $615,000.
The videos, which Stanton is accused of recording since 2010, featured five employees, three of whom were identifiable, The Tampa Tribune reports. The IT worker discovered the material while servicing Stanton's computer. When management failed to act after hearing about the malfeasance, the tech employee turned the recordings over to police.
Stanton can be seen in some of the videos (including the one above) walking in front of the camera and manipulating it, police said.
Not all the videos show victims' faces, so police are still trying to determine whether there are more victims, WESH reports.
MaintenX International representatives didn't respond to calls for comment.
