'Freedom Tower BASE Jump' Caught On Tape (VIDEO)

WATCH: BASE Jumpers Leap Off One World Trade Center

New York City looks both beautiful and terrifying in this video, shot from the helmet camera of a BASE jumper who took a leap from the top of One World Trade Center.

To see the fall -- and skip past some of the foul language in the clip -- make your own jump to the 2:40 mark.

The video appears to show a parachute jump allegedly carried out last September by Andrew Rossig, 33, James Brady, 32, and Marco Markovich, 27. A fourth man, 29-year-old Kyle Hartwell, is accused of being their spotter on the ground.

We just kind of walked in,” Rossig was quoted as saying by The New York Times. “It’s supposed to be the most secure building in the world. God forbid it was somebody else getting in there with a real intention to harm New Yorkers.”

All four were charged on Thursday with burglary, reckless endangerment and jumping from a structure, the New York Daily News reports.

Lawyers for the four have been negotiating with prosecutors, according to reports.

"No one was harmed except for the Port Authority whose lack of security was exposed," Timothy Parlatore, Rossig's attorney, told DNAinfo New York. "The proper resolution is not to punish these young men, but to close security to prevent it from happening again."
