Mark Sanchez Expected To Land With The Philadelphia Eagles: Report

Report: Sanchez Heading To Philadelphia

Mark Sanchez won't be wearing a Jets uniform anymore but he may end up wearing green again in 2014. ESPN NFL analyst Chris Mortensen reported on Monday that the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to sign the 27-year-old quarterback.

Citing an unnamed source, Mortensen reported that Sanchez will have to undergo a medical evaluation before signing with the Eagles. Sanchez missed the entire 2013 season after suffering a torn labrum in his right shoulder during the preseason.

The report comes just three days after the Jets cut Sanchez and announced that they were signing former Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, the New York Giants are among other teams that might be interested in signing Sanchez.

Sanchez, the fifth overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, thanked the Jets and the team's fans on Monday in a letter he posted on his Twitter page.
