'How We Date, Have Sex, And Form Relationships Today' Study Launched By Pace University & ProofPilot

How Do We Date In The Modern Age?

Today a new, six-week online study was launched that seeks to examine how do we date, have sex and form relationships in the modern age.

Conducted through Pace University in conjunction with ProofPilot, the study involves a series of surveys that result in incentives and discounts on products from around the web for those involved. Called "How We Date, Have Sex, And Form Relationships Today," the study is simple to take part in and involves documenting one's romantic, sexual and platonic encounters. Some of the questions that may be addressed include do gay men really have more sex when dating? Does it really take 3 dates for a girl to put out? Are lesbians really the most relationship oriented?

Participants fill out a brief history of their dating and relationships and then complete a weekly survey that documents everyone they met during that period of time and the interactions they had -- even if nothing happened during that particular week.

"This study takes the stance that sexual health is, in many respects, an interpersonal phenomenon," Tyrel Starks, the study's primary investigator, told The Huffington Post. "The kinds of relationships we want, our hopes and beliefs about the relationships we might expect to have, and the things we do as we get into (and out of) those relationships influence our mental and sexual health in important ways."

Over the next six weeks some of the key dating and relationship questions of our generation will be answered -- based on responses you give -- and the results will be featured, here, on The Huffington Post.
