Sometimes to move forward you have to revisit your past.
While the latest 3310 physically resembles its predecessor, Nokia has updated the original with newer technology, including a slightly tweaked version of Windows Phone 8, modified to run on the device's three-inch touch screen. Nokia also included its signature 41-megapixel camera.

Purists will appreciate the pre-installed suite of games, including classics like "Snake II," "Space Impact" and "Bantumi." The phone will also have all the original monophonic ringtones.
"It’s an historic day," Norman Gage, a fan of the original 3310 who petitioned Nokia to bring it back, said in a press release. "For five years, we’ve worked hard to make our voice heard and now our dreams are about to become reality. Personally, I’d have preferred to keep the five-line, monochrome screen, six ringing-tone volume levels and original message templates, but you can’t win them all!”
While most consumers who have visited the Nokia site realize this is no more than an April Fools' joke, some seem genuinely interested in the idea. "Perfect phone, i need one of those release it asap," writes one commenter, while another asks, "where is the front cam?"
