High School Pitcher's Perfect Game Couldn't Have Been Any More Perfect (VIDEO)

High School Struck Out All The Batters In First Start

Perfect games don't get any more perfect than the one tossed by high school pitcher Mike Delio. A junior at Carle Place High School on Long Island, N.Y., Delio struck out all 21 batters he faced during a seven-inning game this week in an unforgettable performance that landed him on ESPN.

"During the final innings I was just trying to focus on what I did the whole game," Delio told ESPN's Cary Chow. "After the first time I got through the lineup I knew where to pitch to each kid. Me and my catcher were on a really good chemistry level and we just knew how to throw to each kid and went from there."

Helping his own cause in Carle Place High School's 15-0 win over Hempstead on Tuesday, Delio walked twice and stole two bases as well, according to Newsday.
