Thrive Conference: Live Updates From Arianna Huffington & Mika Brzezinski's 2-Day Event

"The architecture of our lives is badly in need of renovation and repair," Arianna Huffington writes in her recently published New York Times bestseller, Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder.

Huffington implores us to ask ourselves if we're really thriving -- or are we merely surviving? Though we may be achieving success in the traditional sense, there's a good chance that those of us trapped in a cycle of stress and burnout, tech addiction and sleep deprivation are sacrificing a great deal of ourselves in the process.

It's clearly time to change the way we look at success. On April 24 and 25 at the New York City Center, The Huffington Post hosts Thrive, its second-ever Third Metric conference on redefining success beyond the two metrics of money and power to include a third metric of success that includes our health and wellness, our ability to tap into our innate inner wisdom and wonder, and our capacity for generosity and compassion.

Hosted by Arianna and Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," the two-day event will feature conversations with influencers and luminaries on topics related to the four pillars of the Third Metric: Well-being, wisdom, wonder and giving.

In the live blog below, we'll be posting videos, quotes, tweets and live updates from the conference on Thursday evening and Friday. Check back often to follow the conversation, and share your thoughts about how we can redefine success using the hashtag #thrive.

If You Want To Create Positive Change, You Have To Envision It

When Camille Zamora and Monica Yunus met at Juilliard, they wanted a way to use their passion -- singing -- to give back. They started Sing For Hope, a non-profit organization that promotes accessibility of the arts throughout New York City.

"We had no idea we were starting an organization, let alone a movement," Zamora said at Thrive, The Huffington Post's second Third Metric conference on redefining success beyond the two metrics of money and power. "Our idea was to create change, [and to] create positive change, you have to envision it."
